Architecture and urbanism since the 2^nd half of 20^th century

VSB-TU in Ostrava held on 25^th – 26^th October 2023. In hall UA2, UA3, UA5 at the Auditorium of VSB - Technical University of Ostrava.

 

Dear colleagues,

We would like to invite you for the tenth time to international and interdisplinary conference dedicated to the architecture and urbanism. The conference will be dealing with the topics of architectural and urban works from the 2^nd half of 20^th century until today.

The intention of the organizers is to continue the discussion on the relationship of the society to architecture and urbanism. Also representatives of other fields than architecture have the opportunity to submit contributions and open the space for other questions. Therefore it´s possible to post articles from the fields of social sciences, economics, geography, civil engineering and others.

The purpose of the conference is to find and evaluate in the open discussion the current state of knowledge of architecture with the shortest history not only from the perspective of different fields but from the experience from various countries with their diverse development and approach.

Collected contributions are going to be published in the proceedings with own ISBN and sent for evaluation to the Web of Science (years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019 were included in WoS, year 2018, 2020, 2021 is still in the process of evaluation, year 2022 is in the process of evaluation).

 

Expected contributions should relate to the following areas:

1. Theory and philosophy of architectural design
2. Urbanism and public space
3. Court architecture of housing, civil equipment and construction engineering
4. Monument care, renovation and conversion of buildings and architectural complexes
5. Countryside and rural architecture
6. Ecological aspects in architecture
7. Trends and technologies in architecture

 Fees:

PERFORMANCE AT THE CONFERENCE WITH PUBLICATION IN THE CONFERENCE PROCEEDING
Basic fee - participant with article in the proceeding: participation of 1 person at the konference____ registration fee (this fee is non-refundable)	1 900 CZK
2x review provided by the conference organizers, paid by the participant, one review 500 CZK, two reviews are required (this fee is non-refundable)	1 000 CZK
Co-authors - registration fee (this fee is non-refundable), ___ (there is no registration fee for co-authors who do not attend the conference)	1 900 CZK
Printed proceedings (the participant and other co-authors of the conference choose whether they want the proceedings in printed form or not), the proceedings ONLINE will always be available after the conference.	600 CZK
PUBLICATIONS in Proceedings – length of the article ___The price includes a maximum of 10 images or tables that will be inserted between the text = small images	1 standard page = 1800 characters including spaces = 1100 CZK (Minimum number of characters in an article 20000 = 11 standard pages)
Number of images or tables to be printed in full A4 format	300 CZK
Number of small images or tables, beyond the 10 small images included in the rate	60 CZK
Social evening (payable on the spot)	700 CZK

Abstracts of contribution in English language (150 - 250 words) please send to following address:  architekturavperspektive@vsb.cz until 28^th February 2023.

Please indicate the classification of your contribution in one of the above topics (1-7).

Report on the acceptance / rejection of contribution will be sent until 10^th March 2023 along with instructions how to prepare the final contribution and revision.    

Final texts must be sent no later than 15^th June 2023 according to the instructions that you receive by e-mail. Subsequently, there will be a review process provided by the conference organizers and individual communication with participants. Participants must submit the final form of the articles after corrections according to the submitted reviews no later than 31^st July 2023. If the reviewer does not recommend the article for publication, in that case the article will be rejected by the organizers.

Performance at the conference without contribution in the conference proceeding

Abstracts of contribution (maximum 300 words) please send to following address: architekturavperspektive@vsb.cz until 30^th August 2023. 

Report on the acceptance / rejection of contribution will be sent to you until 15^th September 2023.  

Fees:

The conference language will be the language Czech, Slovak, Polish and English language.

The conference will be translated from ENG/CZ and CZ/ENG.
