The Modelling in Mechanics is a traditional meeting of Czech and foreign academics and R&D researchers which is organized by the Department of Structural Mechanics, Faculty of Civil Engineering, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic.
At the conference, experts can present and publish their original research and development papers focused on various aspects of mechanics and modelling of civil engineering structures and other phenomena:

- rehabilitation, reconstruction and reinforcement of load-carrying structures of buildings,

- modelling of structures exposed to high temperatures, incl. fire resistance,
- reliability and probability tasks in mechanics.

- the environmental and human impact of traditional and new materials,
- nanomaterials and 3D printing in construction.
The conference aims at deepening of cooperation between academics, R&D staff and PhD students from universities and R&D departments in the Czech Republic and abroad.
