Summary
The project focuses on both applied research and experimental development of new techniques and technologies for measuring the distribution of mechanical stress and temperature, based on photonic systems using fiber optic sensors, in the field of geotechnical applications and civil engineering construction. The use of the new measuring system will find application especially in the field of progressive energy geotechnical constructions, such as energopiles, energy retaining walls, etc. Other applications include the area of high-speed railway lines, tunnel constructions and earth constructions (embankments of transport structures, dams).
